Info Session June 8th 4-5pm on Zoom. Sign up below.
Have you ever felt a quiet nudge to serve others more deeply? Do you have a tender heart for elders and a desire to bring light, comfort, and companionship into someone’s day?
Join us for this upcoming Info Session to learn about our new Lay Ministry Training Program at Mountain Vista Senior Living with residents in memory care, skilled nursing, assisted living, and independent living.
This program is ideal for:
Dedicated spiritual volunteers seeking service that feeds their soul
Church members who want to offer hands-on time and heart-centered faith
Those exploring a call to ministry who wish to deepen their pastoral presence
Seminary students and aspiring chaplains looking for real-world experience in elder care
Retired clergy and ministers eager to stay connected through gentle service
Caregivers and spiritual companions who find joy in accompanying others through life's final chapters
As the Director of Spiritual Life, I can attest to the power of elder-care ministry and how it opens your heart. This is more than a volunteer opportunity—it’s a journey of the spirit. As you walk alongside elders in the final chapters of their lives, you’ll find your own spiritual life enriched in ways that are both humbling and profound.
Our training will equip you with the tools to be present, to listen, to pray, and to offer comfort and joy. You don’t need any formal ministry experience—only a willingness to learn, a compassionate presence, and a love for God’s people in all stages of life.
If you’ve been seeking a way to grow in faith while offering gentle companionship to some of the wisest and most vulnerable in our community, this may be your next right step.
Come to the info session and discern whether this ministry is part of your own spiritual unfolding. We can’t wait to meet you.
