Healing is a Byproduct of Power

Something you should know about me is that I’m a double Virgo with a ton of Mercury in my astrological chart. Which generally means that I love a good organizational system and I love to talk about it.

This served me well when I was studying with the Jesuits and Dominicans in seminary who are just wild about a field called ‘systematic theology’. This massive field of study methodically covers all aspects of theology; sin, demons, salvation, Holy Spirit, church history, you name it.

So imagine my delight this morning when I discovered that an amateur theologian had not just systematically written down all of Jesus’ healing miracles but had created an excel data table. Be still my Virgo heart!

As you can see, the author even included a section called “How Can I Use this Method to be Healed.” My god, the organizational prowess!

Now, I don’t agree with all the theology in there; too much helplessness for my taste. But seeing all the healing miracles in one place helped me clarify something about Jesus.

He wasn’t necessary trying to get people to focus on his healings, though they’re so miraculous they’re often all we focus on. What he really wanted to teach were the ways of power.

Now that seems kind of surprising for a guy know for humility, but he wasn’t teaching about regular old power like politicians, celebrities, and the wealthy sometimes have. He was teaching about Spirit power.

Spirit power is the kind that comes from the unshakeable identification with God, or Spirit. In other words, it’s the kind of power that comes from knowing that you are Spirit, that there is no separation between your consciousness and God consciousness, that you have the pure energy of the Universe flowing through you at all times in all places.

Spirit power is about knowing that you are eternally beloved by God and there’s literally nothing you can do to ever change that. It’s about having certainty in your worth, sovereignty over your dignity, and seniority over how you see yourself no matter how the world sees you.

For Jesus, healing was simply a byproduct of this Spirit power. He didn’t so much go around healing people, but rather remind them of their spiritual sovereignty and restoring them to their full spiritual power. Healing was just the byproduct of that.

Feeling lacking in some good Spirit power? Book a Clairvoyant Counseling session and let’s see where we can turn on the lights.

Time and again, the only thing Jesus does to heal is merely be present, recognize the one who is sick, and say “Your faith has made you well.” Interestingly, he uses the word pistis which is subtler than just ‘faith.’ A better translation of pistis would be ‘the guarantee that comes from God.’

And what comes from God? Pure, pristine, unending love. And what can people do with this love? Know their supreme worthiness. Now that’s some power.

So with each healing Jesus is really saying, “Your knowingness of your absolute spiritual loveability and divine guarantee of your eternal nature/identification with the Spirit of love itself has made you well.”

But that’s a little hard to translate, so Jesus just used the shorthand.

Now it’s taken me a long time to say this publicly (I have a deep fear of being seen as too ‘woo’, I say as I put crystals under all my rose bushes to help them have magical properties…); but when I’m doing a counseling session, I always call in Christ force energy. And this is exactly why.

Because nothing superchargers a reading, a healing, or even a loving conversation like having that pistis kind of faith hanging out in the room. A healing like that is usually as simple as validating the supreme universal love flowing through each and every one of your meridians and overiding anything in you that would say you’re less than 100% Spirit.

That’s the healing power I like to work with. And that’s what I offer my clients. When we first start working together, most of the focus is on finding and eliminating all those stories that tell you you’re not Spirit - self-doubt, isolation, fear, loss, pain.

Once those are cleared after a few sessions, the fun really begins. But I can’t give away all my secrets at once. To find out what we do in our sessions when we get you back into your spiritual power, you’re just going to have to book with me and discover the magic for yourself.

Til next time!
